Hypothesis Testing

Having just done some phenomenal CPD as part of AMSPs TS1 course with a colleague I have been teaching Hypothesis Testing to my Year 12s over the past two weeks.

I wanted to create a structured flow for them to work through and practice so I created the table here (It needs to be printed in A3)

Some of the questions don’t have enough information to be fully completed! It was interesting to see which things students were/weren’t able to fill in and why!

The second page should also get them to think abit more deeply about what they are doing and flow through the question in a different way!

I have found that as we getting more students come into A Level maths with grade 7s as opposed to 8s that the need to scaffold longer questions has become more important and I’ve really enjoyed starting to put together more A Level resources that answer the question “How would I teach this topic if I was teaching it to my year 10s” which has been really fun!

Let me know if you have any thoughts!
